Manufactured by China Man-made Fiber Corporation. [1] Kesi, also known as “carved silk”, is the most traditional Chinese traditional silk fabric with warp and weft display and a very decorative silk fabric. Since the Song and Yuan Dynasties, it has been one of the fabrics used by the royal family. It is often used to weave emperor and empress costumes, imperial portraits (figures of imperial appearances), and imitation of calligraphy and paintings of famous people. Because the weaving process is extremely meticulous, and the surviving fine products are extremely rare, it is often known as “one inch of silk and one inch of gold” and “the sage of weaving”. [2] China Man-made Fiber Co., Ltd. was founded on May 11th in the forty-fourth year of the Republic of China (1955). In the forty-sixth year (1957), my country’s first rayon was spun, and its softness was comparable to that of Leizu silk. Hence the name Leiyingsi.
